Growing up in Osaka, Japan, I always felt part of a much bigger picture — entrenched in the magic of cinema, hungry to tell stories that broke barriers of language and culture. In 2005 I left Japan for Chapman University in Southern California.

After graduating I started as a camera operator on NBC's Last Call with Carson Daly, then shot commercials for Apple, Toyota, Google, Adidas, Target, Converse, and Microsoft. Promos for Hulu with Amy Poehler, Will Forte, and Maya Rudolf. Comedy sketches for Funny or Die with Chris Pratt, Kevin Hart, and Will Ferrell.

Most recently DP on the Emmy-winning Man in the Arena for ESPN/NFL Films — nine episodes across the US with cinéma vérité discipline.
